What they say about our track
"It definitely helps those who want to learn but also the kids who are at a high level and are just used to going on the edge, to try!"
— Giorgio Rocca, Giorgio Rocca Ski Academy
“With glacier conditions becoming increasingly precarious in the summer, the Indoor Skiing at Space solution is excellent and at a low cost. The kids have the opportunity to train, try new sensations, train their balance a lot and have a very useful motor experience”
— Cristiano Viaro, Coach and technical director of the Swiss Ski School Blenio and Ski Club Greina
FAQ
How does it work?
Our track is made of a soft nylon fiber mat on a belt that rotates in a motion similar to a treadmill. We can change the height and speed of the track so that it is adapted to the ability of the skiers or snowboarders on the track at that moment. There is a support bar at the bottom of the slope to provide stability for less experienced customers. At the base of the track is a large mirror so you can watch your technique and get real-time feedback.
Is the necessary equipment provided by you and included in the price?
Yes, all lesson prices include the use of skis or snowboard, boots, poles and helmets.
Is the presence of the teacher always necessary?
All our lessons are led by a qualified instructor. This ensures safe operation of the slopes at all times and the best experience at the center.
The cost is included in the price of the session
Can I bring my own skis or snowboard?
You can bring your own boots and helmet, but we ask that you use our own skis and snowboards as they have been specially prepared for use on the slopes, specifically for edge tuning and wax removal.
What happens if you fall? Will you get hurt?
The instructor always carries a handheld remote control and can stop the track at any time. Usually the instructor will stop the ride before you even fall. The track is made of soft nylon fibers that hurt much less than falling on ice (and it's not cold!).
Can the slope also be used for snowboarding?
Yes, our slope is ideal for both skiing and snowboarding and we can provide both.
Is this track good for kids?
Yes, your kids are able to learn in a warm, controlled environment, giving them the confidence they need to take on the big mountains. Instead of going to ski school all day, your kids can ski with you on your next mountain trip.
I've never tried skiing or snowboarding, is this a good way to start?
Yes, you actually learn faster with our infinite slope technology: no queues, stops or interruptions allow for quick and easy learning. Plus, there is a mirror at the bottom of the slope that provides instant feedback to improve your technique.
Is it similar to going on snow?
Yes, if you can ski or snowboard well on indoor slopes, you will be even better on snow. The surface is made of soft nylon fibers, so the feeling on our slope seems a little different than on snow, but the technique is exactly the same.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally with at least 3 days notice to give us time to check the availability of one of our teachers and organize the lesson
